handstands

Handstands are a fundamental skill for all circus arts. Classes begin with a warm-up, and then students are led through a number of exercises designed to improve handstand technique, strength, balance, and more. This class is appropriate for all levels, including beginners.

tumbling

We all need to start somewhere, and this is a great class to start learning the basics of tumbling. From rolls, cartwheels, and roundoffs, to front and back handsprings. This class will help to build the body awareness and strength required to safely perform these fundamental skills.

level 1

Pre-requisites:

  • Willingness to learn and take direction
  • Not too cool to roll around on the ground
  • Okay with learning how to fall

level 2

Pre-requisites:

  • Unassisted back handspring or
  • Front handspring or
  • Aerial

trampoline

Trampolines are a great way to build body awareness in the air. Classes will teach various ways to flip and twist, and will focus on building the control that will help us to learn how to land safely and consistently.

level 1

Pre-requisites:

  • Willingness to learn and take direction
  • Love the feeling of flying
  • Okay with the occasional scraped elbow

level 2

Pre-requisites:

  • Can perform a front tuck or back tuck safely. 

partner acrobatics

Partner acrobatics teaches counterbalancing and holding each other through sequences of positions. Our partner acro classes are primarily focused on hand-to-hand and standing skills, rather than acro yoga or L-basing partner acrobatics. This class is appropriate for all levels, including beginners.

Please note that coming with a partner is recommended for this class.

flexibility

Want to increase your flexibility? Learn how to safely improve your splits and backbends, while strengthening the supporting muscles for greater control in and out of contortion tricks. We recommend bringing a notebook, as you can practice many of the drills on your own (and will gain flexibility much faster if you practice a few times a week). Beginners welcome!

Pre-requisites:

  • Willingness to sit in slight discomfort (not pain!) for periods of time

NinjaGym

NinjaGym is a condition class based on the popular TV show, American Ninja Warrior. Each class begins with a warm-up, and then time spent practising the obstacles. The class finishes with an “obstacle course race” created by the instructor. All levels welcome.

What is your cancellation policy?

Classes

You can cancel and reschedule for ANY reason up to 24 hours before a class (you have the flu, you’re getting hitched in Vegas, you’d rather stay home and watch Netflix, etc.). Under 24 hours means you forfeit the class, regardless of the reason (we absolutely care, we just have to pay for the space and our hard-working instructors). All payments for monthly memberships, punch cards, workshops, private lessons, and drop-ins are non-refundable.

Class cancellations paid for by membership or punch cards are covered under our Classes Cancellation Policy. All payments for monthly memberships, punch cards, workshops, private lessons, and drop-ins are non-refundable.

Parties

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule a private party or group event for any reason, our cancellation policy is as follows:
  • Up to 2 weeks prior to the party: full refund less a $15 administration/service fee.
  • Less than 2 weeks but more than 48 hours prior to the party: 80% refund.
  • Less than 48 hours prior to the party: non-refundable.
