flying trapeze • Jr.Fly team (ages 6-15)

For the younger flyers, this is a lesson is just for them to work together and the chance to focus and be a little more serious about the flying trapeze.

aerial silks

Aerial silks (aka tissu, fabric, ribbon), is a type of aerial art in which artists climb, hang, and wrap for drops and poses in the fabric. The fabric is hung as two separate pieces.

level 1

This class helps you to build your strength and flexibility while learning different poses and basic drops in the fabric. Students will develop the ability and confidence to climb to the ceiling, and go upside down in the air. Each class will finish with conditioning and a stretch.

level 2

Students looking for bigger drops, more complicated wraps, and sequencing more skills together will find all of those things in our level 2 silks classes. We’ll keep learning newer, more advanced skills, and also train endurance in the air and cleaning up transitions between tricks. Each class will finish with conditioning and a stretch.

Pre-requisites:

  • silks level 1
  • One pull-up
  • French climb (30ft)
  • Russian climb (30ft)
  • Can invert in the air (bent knees okay)
  • Catcher’s lock
  • Hipkeys in the air
  • Long hang for minimum 15 seconds

aerial hammock

Aerial hammock (also called aerial sling or cradle) is like an aerial silk, but tied in a loop instead of with two tails. Students can practice their silks tricks and aerial hoop tricks, as well as many poses and drops unique to hammock.

Students will learn poses from sitting, standing, and hanging, as well as transitions between them. As students become comfortable, they will add drops and spinning. Each class will finish with conditioning and a stretch. This class is suitable for all levels.

aerial hoop

The aerial hoop (also known as lyra, aerial ring or cerceau/cerceaux) is a circular steel apparatus (resembling a hula hoop) suspended from the ceiling. Aerial hoop is commonly used for solo and duo acts.

tumbling

Tumbling is a gymnastics sporting discipline that combines skills of artistic gymnastics and trampoline.

trampoline

Trampolines are a great way to build body awareness in the air. Lessons will teach various ways to flip and twist, and will focus on building the control that will help us to learn how to land safely and consistently.
